The Industry Enhancement Centre (IEC) hosted members of the Uganda Small Scale Industries Association (USSIA) to an information session on current opportunities and challenges within the Oil and Gas sector in Uganda. Areas of discussion included Strategies for Business Growth, Business Formalization, Registration on the National Supplier Database, Market Access and Expansion, Bid and Contract Management, Joint Ventures and Partnerships, Human Resource Management, Financial Management plus Industry Specific Qualifications and Standards. The findings of this study shall inform project design at the IEC and also ensure that pertinent issues are addressed in an adequate manner towards a more vibrant participation of Ugandan SMEs in the Oil and Gas sector.
