How to Apply?
The application process of SME’s interested in applying for the FIT Program follows five(5) easy steps;
- Step 1: Check the Eligibility of your company to apply for the FIT Program at the IEC. Follow the Eligibility Criteria link below to review, Eligibility Criteria
- Step 2: If eligible, click here/ or scan QR Code contained in the call for applications to apply for the FIT Program.
- Step 3: Complete the Application Form;
- Step 4: Attach supporting documents.
- Certificate of Incorporation.
- Certificate of Registration on the National Supplier Database.
- Audited Books of Accounts for the previous financial year.
- Trading Licence.
- Tax Clearance.
- NSSF Clearance.
- Step 5: Submit the completed form.
Application Procedure
- The Industry Enhancement Centre shall only consider online applications submitted through the IEC website. Interested SMEs are invited to visit the IEC website/ scan application code to apply and register for the FIT Program.
- The FIT Program is open to all SME’s in Uganda regardless of their location. The verification exercise to participate in the FIT Program shall be conducted through a Business Diagnostics exercise within three (03) months from the date of submission of an application at the office/ business location, as submitted by the applicant.
Application Instructions
- Applicants are advised to thoroughly read the eligibility criteria for participating in the FIT program before submitting an application. Only SME’s that meet the eligibility criteria shall be selected.
- Applicants must respond to all mandatory questions in the application form.
- For sections that do not apply to your company, applicants are required to indicate Not Applicable /(N/A) in the space provided.
- All applicants shall receive an acknowledgment email to the email address provided by the applicant within five (5) working days upon submission of their application. If you do not receive an acknowledgment email within the stipulated time, please contact the IEC through [email protected].
- Application for participation in the FIT Program is free of charge.
- Participation in the FIT Program does not demit the requirements for the SME or applicant to apply for bids and tenders within the Oil & Gas sector in Uganda and is not a qualified entity or person to participate in the tendering processes for the provision of goods, works and services in the Oil and Gas industry and is not a guarantee for the award or winning of any contract within the sector.
