Coaching and Mentorship
Upon completion of at least 80% of all the stipulated capacity development initiatives, selected enterprises shall undergo a coaching and mentorship phase to empower them to unlock their potential, overcome challenges, and maximize their effectiveness. Business coaching shall serve as a customized and strategic approach to professional development, focusing on both individual growth and organizational performance. During this phase, there shall be a review of the action plans that were developed during the Business Diagnostic phase to ensure adequate follow up and implementation of critical aspects within each enterprise. The coaching and mentorship shall comprise of two (02) stages:
- Group Coaching and mentorship: The coaching sessions will first be delivered in-group sessions where SME’s with similar challenges shall be put into groups of 20 to 30 per group and coached to improve and adopt new ways of enhancing efficiency in the business. The group session will involve three coaching sessions delivered over a period of three months. This will focus on practical, hands-on sessions that enable participants to apply concepts taught in real-world settings relevant to their business operations. The group coaching sessions shall facilitate peer-to-peer collaboration and sessions that allow SME’s to learn practical ways that other SME’s have implemented the training within their business and the related impact. Other approaches that will be adopted, for the group’s sessions will be case studies and simulations that reflect real-world business situations to improve learning retention and application and mastermind sessions to support SME’s in making critical business decisions.
- One-to-one Coaching and mentorship: The second phase of the coaching will be in the form of one-to-one coaching session targeted at 300 SMEs who commit to the programme especially the group coaching sessions to ensure resources are committed to the most dedicated SMEs looking to grow their business. This will involve one coaching session delivered per month over three (3) months to allow each SME to receive direct guidance and coaching to implement training lessons within their business. The delivery model shall provide instructional and interactive sessions, encouraging active involvement and knowledge exchange among participants. SMEs may have the opportunity to share their business difficulties or goals, and receive personalized guidance and evaluation from experts.
