Fabric Maintenance Engineer Role;

  • Support and implement the HSEQ management system.
  • Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behavior about HSEQ rules & requirements, as well Company Ethics & “Code of Conduct” policy.
  • Participate in Job Safety Analysis and make suggestions.
  • Ensure HSE standard of Contractors enrolled in activities are in line with Company rules & referential.
  • Promote and control rigorous application of Company Golden Rules in all activities.
  • Lead and implement the Fabric Maintenance requirements  for the site, overseeing and executing fabric maintenance support to maintenance operations and executing specific Fabric maintenance campaigns for the upkeep of facility.
  • Prepare scopes of work and economic justification for fabric maintenance campaigns, ensuring they are correctly surveyed, estimated, documented and reported, and that all fabric maintenance activities/modifications are implemented in accordance with statutory/Company standards and correctly closed out.
  • Regularly review Company Contractor Management System documentation related to the scope to ensure its accuracy and suitability.
  • Review contractor fabrication activities, ensuring compliance with Company referential and Standards.
  • Plan and monitor work, including estimating contractor resource man-hours and materials required for tasks, ensuring they are available on site. Active participation to overall planning process.
  • Reporting and presenting fabric maintenance activities and planning status, typically on a monthly basis.
  • Act as Contract Representative for Fabric Maintenance Contract, taking a lead role in the involvement/co-ordination of, and interface between, office and site teams/contractors ensuring effective communication and understanding between appropriate parties.
  • Carry out Contract audits on a regular basis to ensure Contractors are meeting contractual obligations and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Follow up on Contractor training and competency plan to ensure set and agreed targets are meet.
  • Identify operations for performance improvements or introduction of new techniques to introduce operational efficiency to the activities.

Operations

  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe and effective manner and that all interventions are controlled by authorized persons, satisfy statutory and Company standards and that no hazardous incidents or events occur.
  • Ensure local legislation is complied with in the execution of fabric maintenance activities.
  • Complete audit and compliance action within a timely manner.
  • Lead and Control the budget preparation process relating to discipline budget.
  • Responsible for managing specific budget lines, monitoring costs and ensuring that expenditures are within budget
  • Produce budgets and plans for specific studies or modifications and manage the cost control process and ensure closure expenditure is within acceptable  percentage of original budget.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with site personnel through effective communication and by making regular visits to site.
  • Monitor contractor performance and expenditure. Participate, as appropriate, in vendor/contractor audits

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Fabric Maintenance Services (scaffolding, industrial painting, rope access services and/or fabrication) within an industrial environment (oil & gas, power generation, petrochemical).
  • Knowledge of industrial regulations and standards related to workscope.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools.
