The Industry Enhancement Centre is an oil and gas sector-led initiative that is empowering Ugandan Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to participate sustainably in the nation’s oil and gas sector. The IEC is a strategy entity through which key sector players are achieving capacity building and transfer of knowledge, skills and technology to Ugandan SMEs to position themselves competitively for sector opportunities.

What We Do

The Industry Enhancement Centre has been set up as a strategic entity to build the capacities and capabilities of Ugandan companies to participate sustainably in the nation’s oil and gas project with the objective to;
Facilitating SME Participation in the Oil and Gas Sector

Support Ugandan SMEs to be able to participate in the oil and gas sector through our capacity development programmes

Advising SMEs on Diversification for Sustainable Growth

Guide and advise Ugandan SMEs on diversification of their services and personnel into other sectors, projects or regions for business sustainability through our structured coaching and mentorship support.

How We Do It

We share oil and gas sector updates, business opportunities, capacity building and employment opportunities. We create a platform for collaboration where insights are shared, partnerships created, and opportunities provided for Ugandan SMEs to maximize the potential of their businesses.
We offer training and support to Ugandan SMEs to increase their business competitiveness and to accelerate their growth. These include both technical oil & gas and business management courses
We offer business advisory services to Ugandan SMEs including on minimum oil & gas sector requirements in Uganda, Coaching and mentorship, access to finance & investment, access to new market opportunities and diversifion, formation of strategic partnerships and joint ventures between local Ugandan companies and international companies.
We offer SMEs with exclusive access to Supplier Development Workshops and Networking events with specific themes where they can learn from subject matter experts, network with like-minded professionals, share their experiences, and get valuable opportunities to connect with industry leaders, expand their networks, and drive their business growth.
We host a resource center with various materials useful to empowering Ugandan SMEs with comprehensive oil & gas sector and related information. Our resource center is also fitted out to enable Ugandan SMEs access online materials and information.
